Finance Subject Matter Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Subject Matter Expert to help shape AI understanding of finance workflows. This remote contractor role will leverage your hands‑on experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com and Concur to create realistic accounting scenarios and evaluate AI outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Create finance workflow prompts and real‑world accounting scenarios.
• Review and evaluate AI‑generated responses for accuracy and reasoning.
• Build synthetic invoices, bills, reconciliations, and general‑ledger datasets.
• Identify edge cases such as duplicate bills, sync failures, policy violations, and GAAP errors.
• Help improve AI performance across finance operations and controls.

Required profile

• 4–12 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, month‑end close, or finance systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Bill.com and/or Concur.
• Understanding of US GAAP and finance controls.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• CPA or CMA preferred for controller‑level roles.
