Controller – DTC & eCommerce

About the role

The Controller will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for a fast‑growing direct‑to‑consumer and eCommerce business. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will ensure accurate financial statements, robust internal controls, and seamless coordination with retail and supply‑chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and year‑end close processes, delivering timely and accurate financial reports.
• Manage the general ledger, perform reconciliations, accruals and journal entries in accordance with US GAAP.
• Lead and mentor a small team of accountants, fostering development and best practices.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Support budgeting and forecasting in partnership with FP&A.
• Collaborate with retail and eCommerce teams on revenue recognition, returns and sales data accuracy.
• Drive ERP system improvements and automation initiatives.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation together with supply‑chain and operations teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred).
• 5‑7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years of supervisory responsibility.
• Experience in fashion, retail, luxury goods or consumer products is strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
