Staff Systems Engineer – Hivemind Enterprise

About the role

The Hivemind Platform Team at Shield AI is looking for a highly skilled Requirements Engineer to join the Hivemind Enterprise product line. You will work within a multidisciplinary systems engineering group to translate user stories into clear, testable engineering requirements for autonomous software platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA to turn high‑level feature requests into detailed technical requirements with measurable acceptance criteria.
• Identify dependencies, constraints, edge cases, and risks, ensuring all requirements are feasible and aligned with business objectives.
• Author and maintain documentation, traceability links, and system models using requirements‑management tools.
• Support validation and verification activities by working with test and development teams to confirm implementations meet requirements.
• Assist systems modelers in developing and updating SysML models that capture architecture, behavior, and interfaces.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with ~7 years (or Master’s with ~5 years) of experience in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, or Software Engineering.
• Extensive experience creating product and test requirements for complex software or autonomous systems.
• 4+ years in systems engineering or quality‑assurance roles supporting safety‑critical hardware/software.
• Strong understanding of robotics, autonomy concepts, and modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, configuration management).
• Proficiency reading engineering drawings, schematics, and interface definitions.
