Senior Logistics Technician (Level IV)

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Senior Logistics Technician (Level IV) to support logistics operations at its Torrance, CA facility. The role involves managing material flow, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, and driving process improvements within the inventory control and shipping team.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, and ship inbound and outbound materials, performing cycle‑count audits and maintaining traceability.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes and packaging equipment such as bag sealers and table saws.
• Develop and lead process improvement initiatives, act as backup for the coordinator or supervisor, and conduct training for team members.
• Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation to meet contractual and export‑control requirements.
• Research and reconcile variances, create rework work orders, and manage rework dispositions following NC Tip QA processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of material handling logistics experience.
• Experience in aerospace logistics, including knowledge of industry standards, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred).
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate across functional teams.

Required skills

• Material handling logistics processes (RTV, rework dispositions, variance reconciliation).
• Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and packaging tools.
• HAZMAT handling and compliance.
• Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
