About the role
Alcon is seeking a Glaucoma Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist to cover a large territory in Houston, TX. The role is field‑based, focusing on building disease awareness, supporting patient access, and driving sales growth across a defined list of physicians and practitioners.
Key responsibilities
- Build disease awareness with key partners and understand treatment initiation processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners on prior authorizations, payor restrictions, and reimbursement issues.
- Manage the sales budget and develop an impactful territory plan.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, opinion leaders, and community organizations.
- Implement compliant, medically relevant programs to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
- Visit all customers in the territory according to their importance and potential.
- Coordinate trainings, informative programs, and product presentations.
- Prospect new accounts and identify growth opportunities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school + 10 years, Associate + 6 years, M.S. + 0 years).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Fluent reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work in the Houston, TX territory.
