Part-Time Lifeguard (Temporary)

About the role

The Lifeguard will supervise pool activities at the Yates Field House, ensuring the safety of students, faculty, staff, and community members who use McCarthy pool. This is a temporary, part‑time position on the Georgetown University campus.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pool activities and enforce all safety guidelines.
• Remain alert throughout each shift to prevent incidents.
• Prepare activity and incident reports.
• Perform routine pool maintenance as needed.

Required profile

• Current Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard certification, including CPR Professional Rescuer and First Aid.
• Self‑motivated with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to attend at least two in‑service trainings each year.
