Managing Consultant – Services Business Development (Retail & CPG)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Managing Consultant to lead Services Business Development for its Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) segment in the United States. You will join a fast‑growing, agile sales team that delivers end‑to‑end solutions to retailers, airlines, hotels, public‑sector entities, and other partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow strategic client relationships across the Retail and CPG ecosystem.
• Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities to generate demand for Mastercard Services.
• Promote Mastercard’s portfolio of services—including customer acquisition, personalization, market insights, security solutions, and open banking—to drive revenue.
• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and closing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to respond to RFPs and develop tailored commercial proposals.
• Achieve sales targets and expand buying centers within existing accounts.

Required profile

• Proven consultative sales management experience in a B2B environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfort navigating complex sales processes, including RFP responses.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long‑term client relationships.
• Excellent networking skills and a proactive, customer‑first mindset.
