Junior Construction Scheduler (LAUSD Projects)

About the role

CLMI Group is seeking a Junior Construction Scheduler to support the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Facilities Services Division. This entry‑level, on‑site position offers a solid foundation in owner‑representative construction management, working with Primavera P6 and Excel on a portfolio of K‑12 capital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review contractor‑generated baseline and monthly schedules using LAUSD templates.
• Assist in creating schedule‑related reports in Excel and Primavera P6.
• Develop Earned Value curves following LAUSD EVA guidelines.
• Perform QA/QC on schedule submittals for scope and contract compliance.
• Validate program‑level codes, layouts, and logic ties in P6 schedules.
• Update master program schedule with as‑built dates and coordinate forecasts with Facilities teams.

Required profile

• At least one year of full‑time professional scheduling experience for an owner or general contractor, preferably on educational or public‑works projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams.
• Superior organizational and planning abilities.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 (latest version, v19).
• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
