About the role

The University of Arkansas seeks an experienced HVAC Foreman to lead a skilled crew in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems across campus facilities. This onsite role ensures that all HVAC work meets the university’s high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of HVAC technicians and apprentices.
• Plan work schedules, allocate resources, and monitor project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, university policies, and safety regulations.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on installed and serviced systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and labor hours.
• Collaborate with facilities management and other campus departments to address service requests.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HVAC foreman or lead technician in a commercial or institutional setting.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, contractors, and vendors.
