Director of Maintenance – Residential High‑Rise Experience

About the role

Sentral is seeking a Director of Maintenance to lead building services for its residential high‑rise communities. The role reports to the General Manager and is based on‑site, working Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm. The ideal candidate brings a can‑do attitude, strong ownership, and solid knowledge of building maintenance, repairs and cleaning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute weekly maintenance schedules, allocating work based on forecasted workloads.
• Supervise, train and coordinate the Building Services team for daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Inspect sites regularly, identify problems, and oversee repairs including minor plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks.
• Maintain inventory, equipment storage, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and follow‑up on all work orders.
• Provide 24/7 support to the maintenance team and collaborate with the General Manager on project priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Maintenance Manager or Director in residential or high‑rise settings.
• Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and health‑safety regulations.
• Effective budgeting, performance management and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and standard email communication tools.
• General computer literacy for reporting and scheduling.
