Senior Maintenance Technician – Roving

About the role

The Greystar Roving Flex Team supports multiple properties across the Portland metro area, providing flexible, project‑based maintenance coverage. This senior technician role offers exposure to diverse assets, a $300 car allowance, and assignments ranging from 5 days to 12 weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing defects according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting signage as required.
• Inspect contractor and vendor work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Required profile

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and respond to on‑call situations.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart when needed.

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities for building systems.
