DevOps Engineer

About the role

Pickle Robot is looking for a DevOps Engineer to scale the cloud platform that powers its fleet of warehouse‑automation robots. You will ensure the infrastructure is reliable, deployments are smooth, and development workflows are friction‑free as the company expands nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and deployment systems on GCP.
• Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for IAM, Artifact Registry, Cloud Run/Compute, load balancers, IAP, Cloud DNS and related services.
• Develop tools, CLIs, and applications that improve developer, operations, and end‑user experiences.
• Identify and eliminate friction across software development, hardware commissioning, and operations through automation and process improvements.
• Design security‑by‑default solutions, including least‑privilege IAM, service‑to‑service authentication, secrets management, and supply‑chain provenance.
• Write clear documentation, PR templates, and lightweight runbooks.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with production deployments.
• Strong programming background in Python or C++ and full‑stack deployment knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with Ubuntu/Debian administration and container lifecycle management.
• Deep expertise with Terraform (remote state, modules, plan reviews, CI integration).
• Proven experience managing public cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, observability (metrics, logs, alerts) using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Ability to take loosely defined tasks to completion and explain decisions clearly.
