Software Engineer – Education Account Linking

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Education Account Linking team. You will help build and maintain the systems that let users connect their consumer accounts with their education accounts, enabling a seamless learning experience across devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack features for account linking services.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver high‑quality code.
• Review code from peers, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices and style guidelines.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and security of backend services.
• Contribute to accessibility improvements and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Experience with full‑stack development, including backend languages such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ and frontend technologies like JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
