Chief of Staff to Founder & CIO – Equity Hedge Fund

About the role

The Founder & CIO of a leading single‑manager equity long/short hedge fund is seeking a Chief of Staff to act as a trusted extension of the CIO. This senior position will help the firm scale efficiently by overseeing projects, communication, talent development, and operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Track and manage key priorities, projects, and follow‑ups across the team to ensure timely execution.
• Serve as a primary point of contact, relaying feedback and maintaining smooth communication channels.
• Transform unstructured information into organized workflows and processes.
• Partner with the CIO to develop professionals, foster a high‑performance culture, and support talent growth.
• Collaborate with the CIO and COO on operational processes, mapping and executing efficiency initiatives and onboarding improvements.

Required profile

• 9+ years of professional experience, preferably in a Chief of Staff or strategy role.
• Strong project‑management background in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment such as finance or consulting.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership over deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
