Head of Specialized Transaction Management (STM) USA

About the role

The Head of Specialized Transaction Management (STM) USA will lead credit and risk management for ANZ's US Project & Export Finance business, delivering sound commercial, customer and risk outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial and non‑financial risk management agenda, promoting strong governance and risk culture.
• Oversee credit management of the portfolio, including scheduled reviews, financial monitoring, waivers and consents.
• Maintain credit quality by identifying and escalating adverse trends and risk events.
• Provide portfolio reporting and analysis on concentration risk, returns and emerging trends to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, product standards and approval requirements.
• Chair or represent the business in risk, portfolio and governance forums.
• Develop capability across the team through coaching, onboarding and technical guidance.

Required profile

• Significant experience in project finance, institutional lending or structured finance.
• Strong understanding of financial and non‑financial risk management, credit risk, controls, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders across risk, finance, legal, operations and technology.
• Track record of leading cross‑functional change, transformation or process‑improvement initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
