Chief of Staff to Founder & CIO – Equity Hedge Fund

About the role

This position supports the Founder and CIO of a leading single‑manager equity long/short hedge fund. As the Chief of Staff, you will act as an extension of the CIO, ensuring the firm scales efficiently while maintaining high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Track and manage priority projects, deadlines, and follow‑ups across the investment and non‑investment teams.
• Serve as a trusted communication hub, relaying feedback and keeping internal and external channels fluid.
• Transform unstructured information into structured workflows to improve team organization.
• Partner with the CIO to develop talent, mentor staff, and foster a high‑performance environment.
• Collaborate with the CIO and COO on operational processes, mapping and executing improvements and onboarding initiatives.

Required profile

• 9+ years of professional experience, preferably in a Chief of Staff or strategy role.
• Strong project‑management background in a fast‑paced, high‑intensity setting such as finance or consulting.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership over deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
