Business Finance Analyst – Consumer Business Group USAC Area

About the role

The Business Finance Analyst will join 3M’s Consumer Business Group USAC Area, collaborating with global teams to shape operating plans and drive economic profit strategies. This role offers a pathway for professionals from private, public, government or military backgrounds to transition into a dynamic finance career.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sustainable operating plan and economic profit strategies, including involvement in operating plan, monthly rolling estimate, quarterly operating review and finance review processes.
• Act as the right‑hand to the Area Leader, understanding business models to influence decision‑making.
• Provide ongoing business performance assessment and drive necessary redirection.
• Instill continuous focus on sustainable process improvements across the value chain.
• Ensure all actions meet the highest ethical and legal standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified prior to start.
• Minimum seven years of finance or finance‑related experience in private, public, government or military environments.
• At least three years of hands‑on experience using Microsoft Excel for data creation, cleaning, maintenance and analysis.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
• Power BI for data visualization.
• Snowflake for data warehousing.
