Accounting Manager / Controller (Remote)

About the role

The client is a fast‑growing multi‑entity organization (~$60M revenue) seeking a proactive Controller to lead accounting across several entities, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide financial insight to executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations: general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, accruals.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance, internal controls and develop accounting policies.
• Reconcile inter‑company transactions and maintain allocation methodologies.
• Monitor cash flow, support forecasting, manage banking relationships and lender reporting.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, rolling forecasts and KPI dashboards.
• Lead audit coordination, tax activities and drive process automation and ERP optimization.
• Mentor and develop a remote accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years as Controller, Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager.
• Experience with companies generating $25M–$150M in revenue.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi‑entity consolidations.
• Excellent written and verbal English; availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency in multi‑entity accounting and consolidation processes.
