Architect – Design & Construction Lead

About the role

We are seeking experienced Architects to join our New York office and lead projects from concept through construction administration. You will shape design strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver innovative solutions that meet client objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategic design approaches and zoning analyses for each project.
• Lead all phases: schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, and construction administration.
• Produce detailed 2D/3D drawings, renderings, and specifications using BIM tools.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and manage substitution requests.
• Research and specify materials, integrating sustainability certifications as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of post‑graduate design experience.
• Proven ability to translate sketches into BIM models and construction documents.
• Experience guiding projects through all design and construction phases.

Required skills

• Building Information Modeling (BIM) expertise.
• Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, Illustrator, InDesign, Bluebeam Revu, and Enscape.
• Advanced 2D/3D modeling and rendering capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of zoning, code compliance, and sustainability certification processes.
