Field Mechanic

About the role

The Field Mechanic will travel across Texas to support project sites, performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on fleet equipment. You will work closely with field teams, ensuring equipment reliability while delivering exceptional internal customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a full range of servicing, inspections, and repairs on various fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using visual assessment and computer diagnostic tools.
• Maintain accurate records of time, materials, repair orders, and weekly timesheets.
• Travel frequently to customer job sites, including overnight stays, and respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company maintenance schedules.
• Keep the service vehicle clean and presentable.
• Provide oversight and guidance to less‑experienced mechanics when required.

Required profile

• Advance‑level skilled or career‑level mechanic with independent judgment.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Texas, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work safely and professionally in varied field conditions.
• Strong record‑keeping and documentation skills.
