About the role

We are seeking an Account Representative to join BASF’s Automotive Refinish team, covering a multi‑state territory from a home office in Southern Wisconsin. The role combines field sales activities with travel up to 60 % and includes a company‑provided vehicle.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute BASF’s business strategy to drive sales growth in the assigned market.
  • Identify new customers, generate leads, qualify opportunities and close sales, focusing on new‑business acquisition (≈70 % of effort).
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing automotive collision repair shops.
  • Provide product recommendations, technical support and training to customers.
  • Forecast sales, report market insights and collaborate with internal teams.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma/GED acceptable with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in field sales, territory management and customer relations.
  • Familiarity with the automotive collision industry is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
