Technical Service Representative – Houston/Central Texas

About the role

The Technical Service Representative will promote and sell Chemetall surface‑treatment chemicals to established and prospective customers across the Houston and Central Texas territory. The role combines sales, technical support, and customer training while travelling extensively throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage new and existing accounts, presenting tailored solutions based on customers’ cleaning, sanitation, and surface‑treatment needs.
• Develop and execute a weekly call plan to ensure balanced coverage of industry segments and geographic zones.
• Prepare and deliver oral and written sales presentations, price quotations, and margin‑focused proposals.
• Maintain accurate activity, service, and opportunity data in Salesforce CRM.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance, product training, and safety guidance to customers.
• Report competitive activity and market insights to the District Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical sales or service within industrial chemicals, coatings, or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of customer operations and ability to translate technical requirements into business solutions.
• Willingness to travel 50‑60% of the time and work independently in the field.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM for account and pipeline management.
