Broker Assistant (Remote, Eastern Time Zone)

About the role

USA Telecom Insurance (USAT), an MGA program of Insurance Office of America, is seeking a Broker Assistant to work fully remotely on an Eastern Time Zone schedule. The role supports the USAT Broker in handling non‑complex customer service issues, managing policy processes, and providing administrative support to agents and brokers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in new business submissions, set up accounts in Epic, qualify submissions and ensure timely receipt of loss runs.
• Process policy transactions—including new, renewal, mid‑term changes, cancellations and reinstatements—accurately and within required timeframes.
• Manage the USAT email inboxes, forward correspondence, and log submissions promptly.
• Support agent appointments, marketing administration, and preparation of policy binders and invoices.
• Maintain data integrity in the agency management system and monitor action items to meet SOP deadlines.

Required profile

• 1+ years of insurance industry experience or equivalent education; or 2+ years in customer service.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing or ability to obtain it.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
