Youth Sports Coach - School Year

About the role

Amazing Athletes JumpBunch of Southern CT is hiring Youth Sports Coaches for toddlers and preschoolers for school-year and year-round positions, with training starting in early to mid-August. The role teaches children aged 18 months to 6 years the basics of several sports in a fun, non-competitive setting, encouraging healthy habits and building confidence. It is a part-time position with classes mostly in the mornings and early afternoons.

Key responsibilities

• Teach children ages 18 months to 6 years the basic fundamentals of various sports in a fun, non-competitive environment.
• Encourage healthy habits and build confidence in young athletes.
• Work a set schedule, primarily in the morning and early afternoon, and be available throughout the school year.
• Maintain a positive relationship with parents, teachers and staff at the daycare/preschool locations.

Required profile

• Reliable and able to work a set schedule, though flexible on the days of the week.
• Experience working with toddlers and preschoolers (professional experience preferred but not mandatory).
• A positive attitude and a love for sports and teaching young children.
• At least 18 years old with a clean criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation, as coaches travel between locations, sometimes up to 30 minutes or more; long-distance travel is reimbursed.
• CPR certification is a plus, though not required.

What we offer

• Part-time hours with competitive pay: training pay of $17 and fully trained pay of $21.
• Staff are entitled to at least 1.5 hours of minimum pay each time they work.
