In‑Person Spanish Tutor

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors of Central Connecticut is seeking an enthusiastic, in‑person Spanish tutor to work with students in the Newtown and Easton areas. You will deliver personalized Spanish instruction aligned with the Connecticut curriculum and help learners build confidence in speaking, reading, and writing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engaging, age‑appropriate Spanish lessons covering vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, and cultural topics.
• Develop customized learning plans and remedial or enrichment support based on each student’s needs.
• Collaborate with parents to report progress, challenges, and successes.
• Deliver tutoring sessions on‑site in Newtown and Easton, Connecticut.

Required profile

• Current, valid registration with the Connecticut State Department of Education or a qualified teacher‑candidate status.
• Strong Spanish language proficiency and a genuine passion for teaching.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and professional demeanor.
• Reliability, patience, and enthusiasm for working with students in‑person.
