Director of Education II – Graduate Medical Education

About the role

The Director of Education II leads the educational operations of a medium‑sized graduate medical education area at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Reporting to an Executive or Senior Director, you will collaborate with education leaders to ensure efficient, ethical, and compliant delivery of education programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership for assigned education departments, programs, markets, and shared services.
• Oversee multiple diverse groups, conduct site visits and audits, and manage affiliation agreements.
• Direct strategy, growth, productivity, financial performance, compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
• Plan, organize, and direct staffing activities including hiring, orientation, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and manage budgets, analyze expenses and revenues, and report financial performance to education leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s degree may offset up to two years of experience).
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience, including two years of leadership/management.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, manpower planning, compliance, and operational analysis.
• Significant experience ensuring compliance with ACGME, NST, and other regulatory agencies.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English and strong analytical skills.
