Workplace IT Solutions Engineer (Onsite)

About the role

Under general supervision, this onsite role provides remote third-tier AV support for the conference room fleet, designs AV systems and advises business units so that IQVIA hardware and installation standards are enforced. The engineer supports both local and remote offices and provides white-glove support when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Reproduce issues to resolve operating difficulties and recommend system changes that reduce problems
• Meet specified service level standards and escalate complex or severe problems to management
• Delegate IT support tasks, train and advise junior team members, and write technical documentation and training materials
• Configure, install, maintain and upgrade AV and IT hardware and software, and administer operating system security
• Design backup procedures, restore files or systems, and monitor batch processes
• Provide operational support for application, database and web servers, desktops, printers and storage devices
• Train end users, guide less experienced local office IT staff and lead small projects when asked
• Run specific reports for upper management and work outside normal hours when required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise audio and visual systems
• Intermediate project management exposure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, workstation and networking technologies
• Working knowledge of AV system and network administration industry standards

The stated base pay range is $60,700 to $151,800 per year, depending on qualifications, location and schedule; incentives, bonuses and benefits may also apply.
