Wellness Nurse (LPN) - Day Shift

About the role

Brandywine by Monarch, a senior living community, is hiring a full-time Wellness Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents with an emphasis on holistic wellness. The nurse works under the Health and Wellness Director (RN) and helps supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the Home Health Aides. The position is non-exempt, at least 30-37.5 hours per week, scheduled weekdays and alternating weekends, 6:30am to 2:30pm, in Litchfield.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the health, safety and well-being of all residents
• Assist in training and monitoring of medication administration
• Supervise care staff in line with state regulations and community policies
• Maintain clinical quality assurance according to federal, state and local standards
• Conduct thorough resident assessments
• Promote high-quality service to residents while demonstrating the company's mission

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current LPN license
• At least 2 years' experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health or a hospital setting preferred
• Experience working with residents with Alzheimer's or other related dementias
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations and nursing practices
• Physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and support residents intermittently

Required skills
