Behavioral Technician (Weekends)

About the role

A Behavioral Technician (internal title: Community Living Instructor) supports adults with behavioral health needs in a residential or community setting, ensuring their safety, well-being and daily success. The schedule is Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00am to 9:00pm, 24 hours per week. It suits someone wanting experience in behavioral health, psychology or social services, or anyone who enjoys helping others live more independently.

Key responsibilities

• Support residents in building life skills, routines and social behaviors
• Assist with rehabilitation and behavior support programs
• Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood or physical condition
• Provide basic care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal needs
• Administer medication once certified as a Level 1 Medication Aide (training provided)
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities; driving is required
• Maintain a clean, safe and supportive living environment
• Take part in emergency response and safety procedures
• Complete documentation accurately and on time

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least one year of work experience or self-employment
• Valid unrestricted driver's license at hire, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Class E MO license by the end of the 60-day introductory period
• Prior experience as a CNA or CMA is a plus
