Welding Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a qualified Welding Instructor to join its campus in Americus. This full‑time position involves teaching welding courses, evaluating student performance, and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and lab instruction for welding programs at the campus and local high schools.
• Assess and document student progress, competencies, and procedural skills.
• Stay current with welding technologies through professional development.
• Participate in college, divisional, and program committees.
• Assist with recruitment, marketing, and curriculum improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Required profile

• Diploma in Welding from an accredited institution or equivalent specialized training.
• At least five years of welding experience within the past seven years.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications and high organizational skills.
• Interpersonal skills to engage students and provide customer‑friendly service.
