Men's Athletic Manager (Federal Work-Study)

About the role

The Men's Basketball Office at South Georgia Technical College is looking for a Federal Work‑Study student to support game‑day and team operations. This on‑site role offers hands‑on experience in college athletics while working closely with coaches, players, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Film basketball games and assist with video playback.
• Set up the gym for practices and games, including equipment placement.
• Wash and maintain team jerseys.
• Operate the game clock and manage other game‑day timing duties.
• Assist with equipment handling and other team‑related tasks.
• Travel with the team to all away games as required.

Required profile

• Enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester in at least six credit hours.
• Approved for Federal Student Aid for the 2026‑2027 award year.
• Eligible to participate in the Federal Work‑Study program.
• Maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; willingness to learn and follow instructions.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $10.00.
• Up to 20 hours per week, not exceeding 225 hours per semester.
