Water/Wastewater Wage Instructor – COAST/TRAIN

About the role

The Wage Agency Instructor supports TEEX Workforce Development Programs by delivering water and wastewater utility training at COAST in Corpus Christi and the RGV Advanced Manufacturing Hub in Brownsville. This part‑time, telecommuter position focuses on enhancing technical competence of utility personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver classroom instruction and demonstrations for water and wastewater courses.
• Develop teaching materials and use teaching aids during sessions.
• Complete required administrative paperwork and maintain training records.
• Stay current with technical knowledge and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of experience in operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
• Residency in one of the specified Texas counties.
• Valid motor vehicle license (or obtain within 30 days).
• Texas Class “B” Water License and Texas Class “B” Wastewater License (or Wastewater Collection II/III).
• One year of adult‑training experience and 60 hours of classroom instructional experience.

Required skills

• Operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
• Texas Class “B” Water License.
• Texas Class “B” Wastewater License or equivalent wastewater collection certification.
