EHS/OSHA Instructor – COAST/TRAIN

About the role

The Agency Instructor I assists in delivering specialty EHS/OSHA courses within TEEX Workforce Development Programs at COAST in Corpus Christi and RAM in Brownsville. The role supports the Infrastructure Safety Training Institute by coordinating Environmental, Health and Safety program activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver course topic presentations and demonstrations using teaching aids.
• Apply adult learning theories to maximize learner success across a broad audience.
• Coordinate and manage course activities for assigned EHS/OSHA programs.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; five years EHS experience in construction or general industries.
• Two years experience in adult education or training.
• Residency in specified Texas counties and valid driver’s license.
• Valid passport or ability to obtain within 180 days.

Required skills

• OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 501).
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Experience with adult education methodologies.
