VP of Presales Solutions Architecture - AI Infrastructure

About the role

Mirantis, a company of IREN, is building k0rdent AI, a declarative control plane that turns disaggregated GPU hardware into multi-tenant, production-ready, sovereign AI clouds. It is hiring a Head of Solutions Architecture to own the technical win, build its pre-sales organization from the ground up and lead the architecture strategy on high-value, long-cycle compute deals. This is an executive technical partner role, not a demo role.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale the pre-sales engine: hire, coach and retain Solutions Architects and Field Engineers, set up the global pre-sales operating model and create reusable field assets such as discovery frameworks, reference architectures, TCO/benchmark models, POV playbooks and RFP response libraries.
• Own the technical win in strategic deals: partner with Account Executives on long-cycle, multi-million-dollar opportunities, qualify them (MEDDPICC or equivalent), architect end-to-end solutions across compute, networking, storage and orchestration, and design and run POVs and POCs with strict success criteria.
• Act as the Technical Voice of the Customer: feed product, capacity and feature requirements back to product, engineering and supply planning, partner with the NVIDIA field ecosystem and influence roadmap prioritization, packaging and GTM strategy.

Required profile

• Pre-sales leadership experience at a NeoCloud, hyperscaler AI organization or accelerated-hardware vendor.
• Proven track record leading technical sales in complex B2B environments, ideally with multi-year committed-capacity or reserved-capacity deal structures.
• Track record of hiring, developing and leading Solutions Architecture or Field Engineering teams.
• Experience standing up or running production ML workloads (distributed training and multi-node inference) and understanding performance bottlenecks across interconnect, memory bandwidth, I/O and cluster scheduling.

Required skills

• Fluency across Hopper and Blackwell architectures (H100/H200, GB200 NVL72, B200) and reference systems (DGX, HGX, MGX).
• Deep understanding of NVLink/NVSwitch, InfiniBand, Spectrum-X Ethernet, RDMA/RoCE and DPUs.
• Strongly preferred: hands-on experience with Kubernetes (GPU operators, device plugins), KubeVirt, Metal3/Ironic and Slurm, and familiarity with high-throughput parallel/object storage systems.
