VP & Managing Director, Mid-Sized Pharma (US/EU)

About the role

IQVIA is seeking a VP & Managing Director, Mid-Sized Pharma to lead a strategic partnership with mid-sized pharmaceutical customers. As senior owner of the clinical relationship, the role combines clinical development expertise, strategic account leadership and operational excellence to grow customer development portfolios and strengthen long-term partnership value. It acts as the senior operational bridge between IQVIA and the customer's clinical organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as senior operational liaison between IQVIA and the customer's clinical development organization, and lead the preferred provider partnership through strategic resourcing models and deeper collaboration.
• Mobilize global IQVIA teams to anticipate customer needs, align delivery priorities and drive year-over-year organic growth and market share.
• Chair or co-chair operational governance forums, oversee escalation resolution, manage portfolio-level risk and track RDS and RWLP delivery performance.
• Partner with Sales, Global Business Operations and account leadership on financial tracking, LSFR activity and revenue targets of $100M+ at targeted profitability.
• Lead and mentor global teams across Quality, Data Management, Lifecycle Safety and delivery operations, and build relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• 15-20 years of experience in pharma, biotech, CRO, clinical operations, commercial, business development, project management, data management, laboratory or pre-clinical environments.
• Proven success in senior client management, strategic partnership development and influencing C-suite stakeholders.
• Strong matrix leadership, communication, negotiation and financial analysis skills, including margin management and revenue planning.
• Must reside in the country where the role is posted to be eligible for this remote position.

What we offer

• Base pay range of $165,400 to $460,800 per year, depending on qualifications, location and schedule.
