About the role
The Visitor Services Associate is the primary point of contact for museum guests, greeting visitors, processing admissions, and providing information about exhibits and local attractions. This full‑time, onsite position supports the museum’s mission to deliver engaging educational experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome and orient visitors, process admissions for individuals, groups, and special events.
- Provide accurate information on museum exhibits, programs, and nearby historic sites or businesses.
- Assist with educational and audience‑engagement programming and ensure safety and security throughout the museum.
- Route telephone calls, handle inquiries, and serve as the point of contact for deliveries.
- Support coordination, training, and supervision of volunteers and interns.
Required profile
- Strong customer‑service orientation with a courteous and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work under supervision, follow procedures, and maintain a safe environment.
- Willingness to travel locally or regionally for professional development and outreach events.
