About the role
The Illinois Department of Transportation is hiring a Senior Public Service Administrator to serve as the Section Chief of Planning and Systems. This leader will oversee statewide roadway, structure, and traffic data programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state reporting mandates.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for all statewide roadway, structure, and traffic data programs.
- Plan, develop, organize, and manage comprehensive data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
- Oversee production and publication of datasets, ensuring accuracy and uniform standards across districts.
- Supervise the annual Pavement Condition Rating Survey, guaranteeing accurate and representative data.
Required profile
- Full‑line supervisory experience.
- Experience managing large‑scale data collection and reporting initiatives.
- Ability to ensure compliance with federal and state performance‑management requirements.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of pavement condition survey methodologies.
- Proficiency in data management and statistical analysis.
