Video Installation Technician

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a motivated Video Installation Technician to join its IT support team in Chantilly, VA, supporting national security missions. The role involves installing and maintaining video equipment and cabling in dynamic workspaces.

Key responsibilities

• Install, pull, terminate and label various cable types (CAT5, fiber optic, HDMI, coaxial, power) and set up wall jacks, racks, and video equipment.
• Assemble and connect video system components such as processors, scalers, receivers, amplifiers, media players, and control systems.
• Support projects according to design documents and build‑to packages, including local travel across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the DC metro area.
• Maintain a flexible schedule within a 6:00 AM‑6:00 PM window to meet program demands.

Required profile

• High School Diploma with 6+ years experience, or Associate’s with 4+ years, or Bachelor’s with 2+ years.
• Current active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Ability to work on‑site, lift equipment up to 50 lb, and use ladders up to 10 ft.

Required skills

• Expertise in cable types, termination standards, and cable management.
• Strong diagnostic skills for video, audio, control, and network connectivity issues.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting video‑conferencing hardware (Cisco, Poly, Logitech).
• Knowledge of AVIXA, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA certifications (preferred).
