Installation Technician – Secure Network & Video Systems

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a motivated Installation Technician to support the deployment of secure network infrastructure and video equipment for government intelligence agencies in Chantilly, VA. This full‑time, onsite position involves hands‑on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in classified environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, pull, terminate, and label CAT5, fiber optic, HDMI, coaxial, and power cables, as well as wall jacks, racks, and video equipment.
• Assemble and connect video system components such as processors, scalers, receivers, amplifiers, media players, and control systems.
• Support video conferencing hardware installations (Cisco, Poly, Logitech) and ensure compliance with design documents and build‑to packages.
• Travel locally between customer buildings or temporary sites for special projects.
• Provide shift coverage from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a primary shift of 6:00 AM‑2:00 PM.

Required profile

• High School Diploma with 6+ years experience, Associate’s with 4+ years, or Bachelor’s with 2+ years.
• Current active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, lift equipment up to 50 lb, and use ladders over 10 ft.

Required skills

• Expertise in cable types, termination standards, and cable management.
• Strong diagnostic skills for video, audio, control, and network connectivity.
• Experience with video conferencing systems (Cisco, Poly, Logitech).
• Certifications such as AVIXA, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA are preferred.
