About the role

Riedel Communications seeks a Video Infrastructure Production Sales Professional to grow its presence across the North American market, focusing on sports organizations and Division II schools. The role involves extensive travel and can be performed from any location in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sales growth of Riedel’s video infrastructure solutions for sports venues and educational institutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers in broadcast, sports, and education sectors.
• Act as the primary liaison for North American clients, delivering technical expertise and exceptional service.
• Develop a sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new opportunities with broadcasters, sports leagues, and schools.
• Present video infrastructure products at client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
• Collaborate with product management and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve inquiries.
• Achieve and exceed defined sales targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling broadcast or high‑tech video equipment to broadcasters, sports leagues, or educational institutions.
• Strong understanding of sports production workflows and budget‑conscious IP migrations for Division II schools.
• Passion for video infrastructure and awareness of industry trends such as IP transition and COTS hardware.

Required skills

• SMPTE ST 2110‑20 video, ST 2110‑30/‑31 audio, AES67, PTP synchronization (ST 2059).
• Protection switching (ST 2022‑7) and related standards (ST 2022‑6).
• Knowledge of uncompressed/compressed UHD/4K/HDR video, multicast routing (IGMP), VLANs, UDP/RTP.
• Hands‑on experience bridging SDI/baseband with IP infrastructures, including gateways and converters.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based streaming protocols (SRT, RTMP) and fiber/RF systems.
• Understanding of JPEG‑XS compression (ST 2110‑22) and Dante audio‑over‑IP.
