Alternative Channels Sales Manager

About the role

As the Alternative Channels Sales Manager at 1440 Foods, you will grow the company’s presence across Value, Drug, and Alternative/Specialty Retail channels, driving distribution, velocity, and brand visibility through strong distributor and retail partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with foodservice and vending distributors such as Vistar, Core‑Mark, and Sysco, creating promotion plans and conducting business reviews.
• Develop and grow business in value‑channel accounts (e.g., Dollar Tree, Dollar General) and drug‑channel accounts (e.g., Vitamin Shoppe, GNC) with tailored assortments and promotional strategies.
• Manage a diverse book of headquarter‑call accounts across off‑price, hardware, automotive, sporting goods, travel, entertainment, and foodservice sectors, securing prominent placement and negotiating promotional support.
• Track sales performance, analyze sell‑in vs. sell‑through data, provide forecasts, and submit call and expense reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of CPG sales experience, especially in alternative, drug, or value channels.
• Proven ability to manage distributor relationships and multi‑channel retail accounts.
• Self‑motivated with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 40%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Power BI, Exceedra, IRI, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using CRM tools and distributor portals for sales tracking and reporting.
