Airrack, a team behind ambitious, innovative YouTube videos that reach millions of views, is looking for a Video Editor in Los Angeles. The editor shapes the creative direction and execution of the videos, bringing extensive experience editing YouTube content with hundreds of millions of views and a deep understanding of the platform's algorithm and trends. The role is also a key creative voice, setting the tone, pacing and energy of the content to protect and lift the channel's brand identity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead editing from rough cuts to polished final exports, keeping the narrative seamless and aligned with the channel's style
• Act as a key creative voice during pre-production and post-production, influencing storytelling, pacing and content strategy
• Work closely with producers and other team members to deliver each project
• Stay up to date on trends, editing techniques and YouTube best practices
• Give constructive feedback to junior editors and help develop their skills
• Work extended hours when needed, especially around high-impact content launches

Required profile

• At least 5 years editing YouTube content, with videos that have reached hundreds of millions of views
• Deep understanding of pacing, narrative structure and emotional engagement
• Strong visual storytelling instincts and attention to detail suited to YouTube
• Ability to take charge in a high-pressure environment and lead a team
• In-depth knowledge of YouTube's algorithm, audience retention and platform trends
• Robust portfolio of YouTube projects with substantial reach and engagement
• Preferred: experience in frenetic lifestyle and prank content, familiarity with analytics tools, and prior experience managing a team of editors
