Junior Producer - YouTube Video Production

About the role

Airrack is a small team behind ambitious, innovative YouTube videos that get millions of views. This is an entry-level production role for someone who wants to build a career making high-level YouTube videos. You will work directly under the Associate and Lead Producers on active productions, handle outbound coordination, support shoots and help run the smaller productions that keep the channel moving, learning how to eventually own your own productions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Associate Producer in procuring and testing props, wardrobe and set pieces before shoot day so everything fits the creative vision.
• Pack and transport props, wardrobe and supplies for local and remote productions, keeping an organized inventory and restocking with AP approval on spend.
• On shoot days, set up and tear down production supplies, props and crew meals, and handle last-minute runs, pickups and returns.
• Coordinate with creative and post-production on in-studio shoots: sourcing props, visual aids, wardrobe, extras and gear, prepping them in advance and running the shoots on the day.
• Support the Associate and Lead Producers across all active projects as needed.
• If remote: handle outbound outreach for upcoming concepts, including locking down locations and specialists, supporting research, managing budget reconciliation and receipts, and adding confirmed travel to the production calendar.

Required profile

• Goal of making YouTube videos for a living and wanting to become an elite Producer; willing to put in the reps to get there.
• Watches a lot of YouTube and thinks about the production side of what is seen.
• Fast and self-directed, tracking own tasks and following up without being asked.
• Takes pride in their work and anticipates what needs to be done.
• Bonus points: any prior production experience, even informal, and existing relationships with vendors, crew or talent in the LA area.

• Salary of $70-$80k depending on experience, with performance bonuses available.
