Vice President, Policy Communications (Healthcare)

About the role

BerlinRosen is seeking an experienced communications, media relations and public affairs strategist to join as a Vice President. You will counsel clients on integrated communications strategies that engage stakeholders and public audiences across earned, owned, and paid media to drive impact on the health industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of integrated communications strategies including earned, owned, and paid media.
• Drive daily client communications, brainstorming, flagging concerns and problem‑solving.
• Manage junior staff, influence deliverable quality and provide feedback.
• Coordinate internal and external teams to deploy media relations, digital advertising, and research services.
• Generate new story angles, pitch creative feature stories, and identify media targets across print, broadcast, radio and podcasts.
• Lead thought‑leadership programs, drafting pitches and op‑eds, and identify visibility opportunities for executives.
• Work with senior leaders on capacity planning and contribute to business development.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience in strategic communications within health industries, government, electoral politics or related media.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing teams.
• Strong storytelling ability with proven examples of creating news moments.
• Fluency in legislative and regulatory processes and ability to translate complex developments into clear messages.

• Salary range $140,000‑$150,000 per year, bonus eligible.
