Vice President of Operations

About the role

Our client, a national ed‑tech company that delivers training courses to government agencies, schools, and individuals, is looking for a Vice President of Operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will help drive the company’s growth by overseeing operations, customer success, and back‑office functions while managing a small team and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead internal operations and external vendor relationships, establishing SOPs and improving efficiency.
• Partner with Customer Success teams to ensure high service quality, customer satisfaction, and retention.
• Collaborate with Finance to monitor financial performance, streamline back‑office processes, and support data analysis.
• Assist the CEO in M&A activities, leading integration efforts and due‑diligence processes.
• Drive technology implementations that support operational goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in business operations.
• 2+ years of people leadership or management experience.
• Experience in a mixed technology and services environment is preferred.
• Experience with fulfillment or shipping is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong project management abilities.
