About the role
The Federal Work Study (FWS) student position provides part‑time administrative support to various college departments, including Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and Career Services. This on‑campus role is open to students currently enrolled at Platt College and offers practical experience while supporting campus operations.
Key responsibilities
- Perform general office tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and data entry for student accounts.
- Create and type correspondence and prepare mailing of financial aid packets.
- Assist in setting up and developing student workshops and events.
- Monitor supply inventory for equipment used by the student population.
- Support on‑campus activities related to clubs and student organizations.
Required profile
- Must be currently enrolled at Platt College.
- Must meet Department of Education Federal Work Study eligibility requirements.
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and at least 90% attendance.
- Must satisfy all financial aid criteria set by the college.
Required skills
- Ability to maintain open communication with supervisor.
- Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Basic office skills, including filing and data entry.
- Computer literacy for routine office software use.
