Part‑Time Lecturer in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

About the role

Southern California Institute of Technology seeks experienced engineers to teach undergraduate Electrical and Electronics Engineering courses on evenings, either on‑site in Anaheim or remotely. The position is part‑time and ideal for professionals who enjoy hands‑on laboratory and project‑based instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, labs, and project‑based sessions in subjects such as circuits, digital electronics, power electronics, embedded systems, robotics, and MATLAB.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and laboratory activities aligned with course learning outcomes.
• Supervise student labs and projects, evaluate performance, and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic documentation.
• Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development, and course improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least five years of relevant professional, engineering, or teaching experience.
• Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to undergraduate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electricity and circuits, digital electronics, semiconductor devices, and power electronics.
• Experience with FPGA, digital system design, embedded systems, robotics, and control systems.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, signals and systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and electromagnetic field theory.
• Understanding of electric power systems, power distribution, protection, and electric machines.
