Vice President of Construction and Design

About the role

The Vice President of Construction and Design leads design, facilities and construction for all new and existing restaurants, ensuring brand consistency, cost control and timely delivery across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, facilities and construction teams for new and existing restaurants worldwide.
• Manage projects from site feasibility through store turnover, overseeing budgets, timelines and quality.
• Hire and oversee architects, engineers, contractors and vendors to maintain standards and competitive pricing.
• Implement project management systems, track progress and report on budget and schedule.
• Develop standard design packages, prototypical plans and scalable processes for 20+ new stores annually.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Operations, Finance and Marketing throughout the development cycle.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of related experience, preferably in QSR or rapid‑growth brands.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Strong finance acumen and ability to manage large construction budgets.
• Based in NYC or nearby, with ability to travel as needed.
• Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Experience reviewing and red‑lining construction drawings for brand compliance.
• Familiarity with permitting, inspection processes and code compliance.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and interpersonal skills.
