Project Manager – Structural Preservation

About the role

C.A.C. Industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an MTA infrastructure project focused on steel structure maintenance and repairs. The role involves overseeing all phases of the project to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate abrasive blasting, painting, steel repairs, and concrete/column repairs across the project.
• Manage schedule, budget, resources, and compliance with MTA standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct site visits, prepare progress reports, and maintain project documentation including permits, RFIs, and change orders.
• Lead project meetings, negotiate and estimate change orders, and resolve issues with contractors and MTA stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of construction project management experience, especially on transportation or infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience working as a general contractor on government projects and with the MTA.
• OSHA 30 certification and strong knowledge of safety, quality control, and relevant codes.

Required skills

• Abrasive blasting, industrial painting, steel fabrication/repairs, concrete/column repairs.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project.
• AutoCAD (preferred) and document control software such as B2W.
• Strong negotiation and leadership abilities.
