Assistant Project Manager

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in daily project operations, handling contracts, change orders, and coordination with subcontractors across our Caribbean projects.

Key responsibilities

• Log in, track, and review contracts, purchase orders, shop drawings, and submittals; manage change orders and RFIs.
• Coordinate insurance certificates, vendor contacts, and subcontractor warranties for compliance.
• Assist with building permit processes, schedule narratives, and weekly video updates for the General Manager.
• Prepare meeting minutes, set up coordination meetings, and distribute revised drawings.
• Support contract administration with attorneys and act as liaison to resolve subcontractor issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 2+ years of related experience or completion of Suffolk’s Career Start Program.
• Strong adaptability, communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to start in Miami/West Palm Beach and transition to St. Thomas with relocation assistance.

• Proficiency with standard office software and computer literacy.
• Ability to manage contracts, purchase orders, and project documentation.
